Comcast this week announced the creation of Comcast Interactive Media, a new division to develop and grow the company’s internet businesses, including the Comcast.net portal (via ReveNews). It will leverage Comcast’s advanced broadband network and technology, existing service offerings, extensive content relationships, and its customer and supplier relationships to build innovative new online services.
Comcast veteran Amy Banse, who has been serving as executive vice-president of content development, will become the new division’s president.
