Back to the Mac

Well, after a three month “flirtation” with a beautiful HP 17 inch widescreen laptop with Vista Home Premium, I decided to sell the computer (on eBay) and bought an iMac.

The HP was actually performing OK after several hardware and Vista-related issues. And this was a “native” machine with Vista pre-installed. But, I had no faith in the future reliability of the hardware and the OS.

I bought a base 20 inch iMac and added 1GB or RAM, bringing it up to 2GB. What a beautiful machine and system. The only potential problem is that Macs seem to experience intermittent wireless drops, despite a strong signal, in my home; whereas, Windows machines don’t. I still haven’t figured that one out.

I also find myself viewing a lot of television programming online with the iMac.

It’s a very enjoyable computing experience.
