Well, I detoured away from Apple for a few months when financial circumstances necessitated going to a less expensive computer. Now, I am back to the Mac. I really think Windows Vista is getting a little bit of a bad rap these days. When introduced, there were simply too many problems. Peripherals often wouldn’t work because drivers weren’t available. The Operating System was slow and buggy. Even now, it starts up very slowly. But it is not a bad Operating System.
Macintosh, meanwhile, is smooth, fluid, intuitive and inherently nice to use. I had forgotten this for a while. I just purchased a MacBook and added the maximum amount of memory (RAM) available. What a beautiful computing experience.
Regardless of the computer or Operating System, though…I have learned an important lesson. Always go for more RAM. It does make a significant difference in your computer experience.
