Will Mobile VOIP Affect the Traditional Telcos?
Wednesday, August 27, 2008 8:59There are a wide variety of VoIP applications coming out on the market that will allow smartphones to make calls wherever an accessible wi-fi connection exists. This will enable some people to reduce their cell phone minutes, if wi-fi is widely available (which, in some areas is not always the case). And what is going on with wi-max? Isn’t that like wi-fi on steroids? I haven’t heard much about it lately. Anyway, here’s a start-up that will soon have free calling available for the iPhone wherever wi-fi is available. I am sure AT&T cannot be too happy about this:
